2019 LA Adventure
A little flashback to a pre-pandemic trip to Los Angeles, in which my wife and I saw lots of cool things.
On July 4, the LA Zoo!
Continue readingGeorge Floyd Protest March
Live sketches from the June 3 protest march organized by students at San Francisco’s Mission High School. You want to be careful about mass gatherings in the pandemic era, but it’s an important cause. Good job, the youth of tomorrow!

Here’s a downloadable PDF of the whole set. And two weeks from now, we’ll be visiting the South American tropical aviary for Aviary Art!
SF Women’s March 2018
A selection of sketches from yesterday’s Women’s March in San Francisco. First, the initial rally at Civic Center; the quotes in the balloons are snippets from the speeches, although sadly I was too far in the back to see the actual speakers.
A Gift from the Sea
Recently returned from sunny Baja California! Not much drawing to show for myself, but I did find a couple of perfect molted crab shells amid the tidepools…
Pterror of the Pterosaurs!
I’ve been looking forward to the traveling Pterosaurs exhibit at the Academy of Sciences all year! And indeed, it was so pteriffic that it’s taken me three visits to draw all the wingtastic displays.
And now for round two!
I saved the best and biggest for last.
