A new version of the Everest graphic novel opera (see below), designed for projection on planetarium domes. In addition to hand-drawn 360° panoramic landscapes, I drew some new figures for the backgrounds.
EVEREST: An Immersive Experience

The second incarnation of the Everest graphic novel opera (see below) was an immersive experience with backgrounds projected on all four walls. These were some of the backgrounds newly created for the exhibit space.

A unique project based on an opera by composer Joby Talbot and librettist Gene Scheer, directed by Brian Staufenbiel. The comic art was integrated with video capture of live actors to create an animated film. Though virtual pages appeared in the film, it doesn’t currently exist as an actual comic; below are some samples from its 80 pages. For more information, see: https://operaparallele.org/everest/
